The text for "Meditation: Peace Is...," from Karl Jenkins' choral work The Peacemakers, was written by the British author and former hostage negotiator Terry Waite. Waite, who was held captive in Lebanon for nearly five years, wrote the text specially for the composition to convey peace as a reconciling force.
