Safety

Safe space

for you to be you.

At MPBC the safety of all who enter our spaces is of utmost importance. We aspire to care for the whole person in mind, body, and spirit, which calls us to be intentional about providing safe space for persons to thrive. Our safety policies are one way that we create safe space for all people to thrive in our midst.

Safety

Policies

There are no weapons of any kind permitted on our campus at any time. We reserve the right to remove any individual or group who brings a weapon or promotes the carrying of weapons on our campus.

We strive to care for mind and body, which is why we ask all persons attending events on our campus to be mindful of any symptoms of contagious illness they may have. If you have symptoms of contagious illness (cough, fever, etc), we invite you to engage with us virtually until the symptoms resolve. Masks are recommended but not required.

We strive to remain open for all programming regardless of weather. However, there are certain situations that require closures to protect our members. For inquiries about inclement weather, please see our website or view one of the local television stations closings.

At MPBC our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our members, especially the most vulnerable. We have a robust child protection policy that every staff member and volunteer who works with minors on our campus is required to be trained on and follow every year.

  • CYPP trained adults must be present with minors for all church sponsored events
  • No adults allowed in the bathroom with a child, unless potty training and expressly permitted
  • MPBC staff and volunteers are state mandated reporters of suspected abuse and/or neglect
