We are honored to serve as your Stewardship Chairs for the 2027 Covenant Campaign.
We are in a very exciting time in the life of our church. We are nearing the selection of a new senior minister, and we have an exciting array of Spiritual Growth classes this fall for adults, youth, and children. Each week, we offer numerous opportunities for fellowship, personal and spiritual nurture, intellectual stimulation, and outreach to meet the needs of others.
We also have a new name and logo that are both thought-provoking and meaningful. Our new tagline, Progressive Faith. Working for Justice., connects us to the heart of our Church Covenant and reflects who we are and what we aspire to be.
Each one of us plays a vital role in shaping our future. For the past four years, our overall giving has remained relatively level, placing greater pressure on fewer members to meet the needs of our church. As we look ahead, let us build on our momentum and move confidently into the future by pledging not only our financial support, but also our time, talents, and resources. Our challenge this year is for each family to prayerfully consider increasing its financial commitment to the church by stepping up a level of giving.
Our pledges provide the foundation we need to operate day to day and plan confidently for the future. They allow us to support our staff, care for our building and grounds, sustain our programs and ministries, and reach beyond our walls into the community.
And because of your generosity, we can do more than simply keep things going. We can try new things, respond to emerging needs, and make room for what’s next.
Our time provides the presence that makes our church a vibrant community—through worship, committees, fellowship, pastoral care, outreach, and simply showing up for one another.
Our talents and resources provide the character and energy that make Myers Park Covenant Church uniquely ours—music, teaching, organizing, cooking, caring for our grounds, welcoming, technology, creativity, leadership, and countless other contributions that may never appear in the budget.
All of it is vital to our church’s ministry.
Financial resources can support a ministry, but it is the people of the church who bring that ministry to life. When we give our time, talents, and resources, we create opportunities and possibilities that financial resources alone cannot provide.
As we enter this exciting new chapter, we invite you to Journey With Us. Together, we can build on all that Myers Park Covenant Church has been, embrace who we are today, and shape what comes next.
