Sage-ing Presents: Sister Act at Flat Rock Playhouse
The Sage-ing Ministry invites you to join us for a delightful day of fellowship, food, and fabulous entertainment on Saturday, October 3, as we travel to Flat Rock Playhouse for the 2:00 p.m. performance of Sister Act.
Based on the beloved hit movie, Sister Act tells the uplifting story of Deloris Van Cartier, a nightclub singer who finds herself hiding in a convent after witnessing a crime. Her larger-than-life personality and love of music breathe new life into the convent's struggling choir, creating a joyful celebration of friendship, hope, and transformation. Filled with infectious songs, lively dancing, and heartfelt moments, this musical has been described as a "holy rolling, soul lifting celebration of sisterhood, second chances, and songs that raise the roof." It's the perfect blend of laughter, inspiration, and feel-good fun.
Our destination, Flat Rock Playhouse—North Carolina's State Theatre—is renowned for producing professional, Broadway-caliber performances in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. It has long been a favorite destination for theater lovers throughout the Southeast, making it the perfect setting for a memorable Sage-ing outing.
The cost is $60 per person. We will stop for lunch together before the performance, with lunch being on your own. For those who would rather not drive, the church bus will be available, and we are grateful to The Pearsalls for serving as our drivers for the day. If you would like to ride the bus, simply indicate that when you sign up.
We hope you'll join us for this wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great musical while spending time with friends old and new. Seats are limited, so be sure to sign up early to reserve your place for this exciting Sage-ing adventure!
