Mark your calendar and make plans to stay after worship for a brief congregational meeting. The Church Renaming Committee will offer an update on their progress and what lies ahead. 

Deacons and Church Renaming Committee members will be available to answer questions related to the proposed names, as well as logistics for the voting process. The majority of congregants will vote through an email ballot, but paper ballots will be available for households with more than one member sharing an email, and for those who do not use email. Youth members in grades 6-12 will vote at the Church during youth events.

Throughout this process, the committee experienced the excitement of congregants as they discussed new names and the future of the Church. As they stated in their report to the Board of Deacons, “We share the anticipation and joy in a new name, and we honor those grieving the Church’s former name. Our work started as a formidable task, but it ultimately evolved into a truly heartwarming experience. We feel the joy that comes not just with our work but – more importantly – in the work of our entire congregation.”
