SUGAREE PLACE TO OPEN

The new affordable housing project in Hidden Valley community will open in the next two months!  Through the hard work of Mayfield Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and the Mayfield Memorial Community Development Corporation this four-story, 51-unit apartment building will open early this fall. 

Myers Park Baptist has been a part of this dream from its inception and will continue to support their work as opportunities arise. Our Environmental Justice Affinity Group has already made inroads for a community garden and other projects. Our Educational Justice Affinity Group will be meeting with the staff of Mayfield Memorial Baptist Missionary Church afterschool program to discuss ways we can support their work. Our Economic Affinity Group will have laundry baskets for us to fill with household supplies to present to each new resident of Sugaree Place. During the next weeks we will share with how to become more involved!
