We're thrilled to partner with Pinewood Elementary for yet another school year. The back-to-school teacher retreat was full of good vibes--and good smells--with the delicious lunch cooked up by the crew at Lempira and served with the love of MPBC. See the pictures above.

Principal Pegram and several teachers--and their MPBC partners--spoke of the significance of the support we offer, particularly through our Teacher Pairings outreach. While some may not have heard back from teachers, it was clear your messages, gifts, encouragement were received--and appreciated! Nearly all classroom teachers (and some support staff) signed up this year to be a part of this program. Of note: on the sign-up this year, you'll see the teacher's desired level of involvement, so if you want to get into the classroom to help, find a teacher who put down a 5; if you know you have limited capacity and just want to send monthly appreciation, look for teacher who put down a 1 or 2 (explained more in the sign-up). We hope this will better match members with teachers to optimize engagement in the outreach.
