It's Time to Nominate
It is time to kick off our Deacon nomination and selection process. All church members are encouraged to participate in this process and help nominate a new strong slate of people to help do the great work of the church. These key people will lead the church in our efforts to remain true to our Covenant.
A summary of the Deacon nomination process follows:
Deacon Nominations accepted from church members (September 14-28, 2025)
- Deacon Nomination Form available in e-Weekly, in church Order of Worship, church website, and in the Narthex (September 14)
- Each church member can nominate up to 6 candidates
- Nomination forms to be submitted by September 28, 2025
- Top 3 candidates nominated by the congregation are included in the slate
- Leadership Deacons and Board of Deacons Chair develop slate of Deacons
- Board of Deacons confirms the slate of nominees to be presented to the congregation (October 13)
- Slate presented to congregation for affirmation vote at end of worship (November 2)
September 28, 2025 | Deacon Nomination Forms must be submitted to MPBC by 11:59pm
October 13, 2025 | Board of Deacon votes to affirm new deacon slate
November 2, 2025 | Congregation Affirmation Vote during service
December 7, 2025 | Deacon Ordination and Installation
Life Deacon & Deacon Nomination Timeline *
September 21, 2025 | Distribution of Life Deacons ballots to Life Deacons.
September 30, 2025 | Deadline for return of Life Deacon Ballots (Only Life Deacons Vote)*
