Finish Strong 2023

December 14, 2023

This fall, MPBC embarked on its annual stewardship campaign based on a theology of generosity. This theology plainly states “generosity is the only thing that can deliver us from the cycle of scarcity, and free our lives for love and community. Without generosity, there is no community. Without generosity, there is no church. We give so we can build a beloved community. We give because generosity is the glue that holds us together.”

Thank you for your consistent support of this church with your time, talents, and resources. As the year draws to a close, MPBC needs your generous financial contributions to end the year on solid footing, fulfill mission partner commitments, and honor God in faithful stewardship of our blessings. MPBC needs your generosity to continue to participate in Room In The Inn, provide programming for Mosaic Wednesdays, and worship with diverse and talented musicians on Sunday mornings. In short, MPBC needs your generosity to continue to build your beloved community.

If you have not fulfilled your pledge for the year, please do so as soon as possible. Additionally, if you have fulfilled your pledge, please consider giving over and above your pledge. You may give online or stop by the church offices between now and Christmas. Additionally, the church will be open on Friday, December 29, from 11:00a to 1:00p to receive gifts or you can drop your donations off through the mail slot in the front door of the Church Office. To be tax deductible in 2023, your gift must be postmarked prior to midnight on Saturday, December 30 or received by Sunday, December 31.

Stock Gifts
Did you know that you can give stock directly to the church to pay your pledge or make a year-end gift? If you sell your shares and donate the cash proceeds, you will pay capital gains taxes. Instead, give your shares directly to the church and claim the full value of the investment for tax purposes. Contact Mary Parrish Coley, Interim Church Administrator, to learn more.

Thank you again for your support and commitment to Myers Park Baptist.

1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
