Dig In with MOJO: Shaping Our Justice Mission

January 04, 2026

Psssst…. are you ready for the upcoming Congregational Conversation on January 11?  Read below to arrive ready to dig in!

What is MOJO?

The Ministry of Justice and Outreach (MOJO) seeks to give life and breath to the Church’s goal of boldly practicing the compassion and justice of Jesus by working with the poor, marginalized and the oppressed. MOJO is motivated by faith and by the harm caused by our individual, communal and systemic sins rooted in bias favoring the powerful and privileged. Through MOJO, our church seeks to maximize intersectional impact, partnering in solidarity with those deeply involved in the complex issues of social justice in our community. MOJO’s work happens through church volunteers who organize around three themes/teams: environmental justice, educational justice and economic justice. They aim to address inequities in each justice area through targeted awareness, action and advocacy.

During our Congregational Conversation we will hear about some of our community connections and engagement opportunities, discuss possible justice outreach priorities and how we can right size our efforts to maximize our impact. The Transition Team is looking forward to another round of engaging table talks.

Please RSVP for Lunch

We look forward to seeing you there!
