You're invited to our May Sage-ing Lunch, a special midday gathering offering good food, thoughtful conversation, and meaningful fellowship with church staff and friends. This relaxed time together is a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and enjoy one another’s company.

Our May guest, Amber Jackson-Holston, represents one of our most cherished outreach ministries—Freedom School. Amber will be joined by Lowette Bobray, Community Engagement Manager, who will share updates about the new volunteer sign-up process. They may even bring computers to help guests get registered on-site. While Freedom School will continue meeting at Pinewood, its name has changed to Starmount Community Site, and they’ll help walk us through what’s new.
Amber has been part of Freedom School Partners since 2011, serving in many roles including Servant Leader Intern, Site Coordinator, Regional Operations Manager, and Enrichment Manager. In 2023, she joined the organization full-time as Director of Partnerships and Enrichment, where she leads efforts to strengthen community relationships and enrich the Freedom School program. A former elementary and middle school educator and instructional coach, Amber has also served as an Impact Leader with Profound Ladies, supporting and mentoring Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color educators across North Carolina.
Whether you choose to purchase lunch or bring your own, you are encouraged to come and be part of this thoughtful, welcoming gathering. Reservations are required for everyone so we can prepare adequately.
