About Our Guest Preacher

Rev. Anthony Smith, originally from Birmingham, AL, joined the US Navy right after high school, dedicating himself to service. Now living in Salisbury, NC, with his partner Toni Smith, they established Mission House, an outreach mission where Anthony continues his devoted service. Pastor Smith actively advocates for racial and economic justice, contributing to reconciliation and healing in the Salisbury-Rowan community. Notably, he played a key role in relocating a Confederate monument in downtown Salisbury peacefully. As an author, poet, and faith-rooted organizer, Anthony's leadership extends to various community initiatives, including his role as an elected member of the Salisbury City Council.
