Engaging Feminine Experience: Women Learning and Healing Together

Register for the Retreat

Ask yourself these questions:

  • In your heart of hearts, what have you not said that you want to say?
  • In a community of women, what would your relationships look like? With other women? With yourself?”

These will be some of the prompts that will guide our time at our Women’s Retreat this March. With a team who are all gifted in different ways, all those who identify as women are invited to come together for a time of connecting through stories.

The Schedule

Friday, March 10
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Heaton Hall

We will begin with dinner and a time of connecting as we move into our storytelling on Saturday.

Saturday, March 11
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Heaton Hall & Room 250

Beginning with breakfast, we will then find ways to lift our voices, share how ritual impacts our experience, and hear from one another. One of the key pieces of our time together will be hearing from our elders and how their experiences shape ours.

A Little About Meta Commerse

Meta Commerse, author, teacher, & Founder & CEO of Story Medicine

Meta is a therapist who began her private practice in 1988 seeking a special theme. Story as healing theme emerged in 1992 with clients’ unsolicited stories of trauma. This prompted Meta’s search for her own story, the one she then viewed as something long past, needing none of her attention. From here she developed Story Medicine as a way to help people heal through telling their stories. Over time she assembled a team who works with her in retreat and workshop settings to guide individuals and groups to realize how their story can be a source of healing.
