NEW CIRCLES OF ELDERS
For over two years, a small group of MPBC Seniors has been experimenting with a new concept, Circles of Elders. Inspired by Mahan Siler and based on the work of Carl Jung and Jungian psychotherapist, Connie Zweig, Circles of Elders provide opportunities for Seniors to embark on the journey of MOVING FROM SENIOR TO ELDER. This has been an extremely positive experience for the seven Elders involved.  We would like to make the experience available for others who might be interested.  Participation in a Circles of Elders provides space for seniors to 1) Be Seen, 2) Be Heard, and 3) Be Known.

New Circles of Elders are now being created. If interested, choose one of the following organizational meetings:

  • Tuesday, May 7 | 10:30 am - noon | in the church library
  • Saturday, May 11 | 10:30 am – noon | at the home of Betsy Thigpen
  • Thursday, May 23 | 4:00 – 5:30 pm | at the home of Betsy Thigpen

Those wishing to attend a Circle of Elders organizational planning meeting may sign up by contacting Gary Hudson or Betsy Thigpen.
