Mosaic Wednesdays Community Nights

At Myers Park Baptist Church, we are dedicated to living into our mission of being a community of inclusivity, spirituality, and justice. Throughout the year, we will incorporate our theme for 2024, “Draw the Circle Wider,” into worship and programming including our Mosaic Wednesdays.

There was great excitement and engagement around our Mosaic Wednesday monthly community nights during the fall. So, this spring we will offer intergenerational events that will focus on both our mission and our theme of widening our community circle. We hope everyone will join us on the third Wednesday each month. We will have dinner together at 5:30 pm prepared by our friends at Deeper Than Sweets followed by a special event from 6:00 - 7:15 pm.

Make sure you sign up for dinner if you would like to eat with us or you can just come for the community event. We look forward to seeing you and please feel free to bring a friend (or friends). All are welcome!

We're Celebrating Creation Justice Month!
The activities for the evening are brought to you by the Environmental Justice Affinity Group

We will be marking Earth Day with some hands-on activities after dinner. You can choose litter picking and beautification around the church campus or participate in an upcycled art project indoors. So, wear clothes and shoes that may get a bit dirty. Bring a grabber/reacher if you have one. 

Plan to join us! And for all (whether you can attend or not), some homework: please consider saving some of your plastic throwaway items from the trash and donate to our environmental marketing project! We would love plastics of all colors, but especially green and blue. Just bring them with you on Wednesday night. You are guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face!

Community Nights

Did you know that intergenerational activities benefit all ages? For example, participating in intergenerational activities means children are more likely to volunteer and hold leadership positions; working adults are more likely to have less stress; and elders have increased energy and better cognitive performance. If you’re interested in these benefits, meeting other church members, and building a sense of community, we invite you to join us for our monthly community nights, every 3rd Wednesday! While these benefits are great, we can’t miss the most important reason to join us for intergenerational community nights: HAVING FUN! All ages will be able to participate and contribute. We hope you join us for dinner starting at 5:30pm, and Community Night Event immediately following. See you there!
