Wednesday, April 24 | 6:30 – 8:30p | Cornwell Conference Center
Wild Hope Farm uses regenerative agriculture and permaculture design in their diversified vegetable, laying hen, and flower farm in Chester, SC. They are passionate about bringing nutrient rich, fresh food into our local communities through a holistic farming approach. They use the land for education, exploration, and celebration centered around nature. Learn how they transformed the land into a working farm, from the early stages of planning and design work to the day-to-day harvesting.
Thanks to a grant from Novant Health, Catawba Lands Conservancy partners with Wild Hope Farm to offer free farm shares to up to 30 Lakewood families per week, for 14 weeks between September and November.
Our program leader, Katherine “Peanut” Belk, has a background in marketing, business development, and design research, tackling the finance and operations side of the farm, building the brand, hosting events, digging in the dirt, and selling products in local markets. Learn more at www.wildhopefarm.com.
The evening will start with pizza at 6:30p and the program will begin at 7:00p. RSVP by April 22 to Mary Lou Buck (email@example.com | 704.525.2293) or charlottesierraclub.org.
