About the Event

Meal Packaging Event | 6:00 pm | Heaton Hall
Rebuilding Community has been a central theme of 2022 - for the Board of Deacons, the Ministry of Community Life and the church congregation. During an exercise with the Deacons and at the summer congregational meeting, members shared what Rebuilding Community looks like to them. The top answers included intergenerational activities, service-oriented projects, more small groups and inviting members to participate. We heard you!
Join us Wednesday, November 16 for dinner in Heaton Hall, followed by a food-packaging event. Volunteers of ALL ages are welcome. We will package 5,000 meals through the Rise Against Hunger program (formerly Stop Hunger Now). The event will be funded through member donations and a contribution from the Ministry of Justice and Outreach. The meals will most likely be sent to families in the Caribbean or Central American area. If you’d like to participate, follow these three steps:
Mark your calendar for November 16.
Make a reservation for dinner.
Ask a friend to join you.
Rebuilding events like this help us reconnect with old friends AND meet new members. Sign up and invite a friend. We’ve missed you!
