Stories have to be told or they die, and when they die, we can’t remember who we are or why we’re here. ~ Sue Monk Kidd
Stories are masks of God. They bear the unbearable, approach the unapproachable, conceive the inconceiveable . . . one of the most vital things we can teach our children is how to tell stories that are rigorously, insistently, beautifully true. And how to believe them. ~ Melanie Tem
We tell ourselves stories in order to live. ~ Joan Didion
We return on Easter morning to receive and celebrate the good news of the risen Christ. The Music for Easter will begin at 10:30a with the Carolina Brass and organ. The Chancel Choir will sing K. Lee Scott’s “Joy to the Heart” with brass, timpani, and organ, and the service will end with Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from Messiah. The children will be waiting and listening for those first “Alleluias” so they can ring their Alleluia bells in joyful celebration.
