Group Description | We will be reading the New York Times bestseller, An Altar in the World; A Geography of Faith, by Barbara Brown Taylor. In her spiritual reflections, Taylor shares how she learned to find God beyond the church walls by embracing the sacred as a natural part of everyday life. She shows us how to discover altars everywhere we go and in nearly everything we do as we learn to live with purpose, pay attention, slow down, and revere the world in which we live. “Elegant, wise, and insightful, this book is also sacramental: it mediates the life it describes.” (Marcus Borg)

Group DescriptionThe Enneagram is a powerful, transformative tool for moving deeper into one’s life and toward one’s own soul. It offers an accurate description of the inner geography of our minds. It describes nine fundamental personality types each with its own internal logic, strengths, talents, advantages, as well as limits, pitfalls, and blind spots. It is a model that helps explain why we behave the way we do and unmasks our illusions so that there can be room for real life. All are invited to join Rev. Dr. Paul Hanneman, certified Enneagram trainer and teacher, for an introductory workshop on June 8 – 9.
