A little more about the Sage-ing Initiative

Members of our congregation have raised the need for more intentional programming for seniors. Rev. Dr. Ben Boswell has taken it as his personal mission to work with staff and lay leaders to establish a new and robust Senior Adult Ministry for our church. Ben will be working with a team of senior adults to plan monthly lunches with the Senior Minister for fellowship, education, relationship building, community, and engagement. These lunches may include speakers, artists, musicians, as well as clergy and staff members to give us all an opportunity to get to know one another better and ask relevant questions related to what’s going on in the life of our church. In addition to the lunches, we may also plan travel trips for senior adults and promote the incredibly important work of eldering that some small groups of our senior adults have been engaged in over the last few years.
